Casement | Tilt & Turn | French Windows | Shaped Frames
All of our windows are manufactured here in the UK at a state of the art fabrication plant where quality is guaranteed. We only supply the best-available windows on the market.
Every sheet of glass and window frame is made to measure. None are ‘off the shelf’ products. Each frame will have a six chambered profile together with a high performance triple glazed unit achieving an A plus-plus rated window with a U value as low as 0.6. Single or double glazing can’t get anywhere near those figures.
One of our designers will visit your property…or you can come to our offices in Sunderland …and take you through the full range of triple glazed products, allowing you to decide on frame types, colours, fitments and any special requests such as having the central pane of glass tinted or laminated.
Once you place your order, a Scandinavian Windows surveyor will visit your property and take detailed measurements. Your window units will then be custom-made to ensure a perfect fit first time, every time.

Not all window frames are rectangular. Shaped frames really stand out. They add a unique look and feel to any new-build home or renovation project. Through our advanced moulding and forming technology, we can create frames in virtually any shape, from round portholes to gothic arches and unsymmetrical shapes. Let your imagination run wild!! With two outward openings and the facility to open either one side or both sides simultaneously, French windows maximise ventilation and also serve as a fire escape exit. They are a huge bonus for any dark room which currently has a solid or half glass door. French windows and secure and versatile and, when compared to a wooden door, will be much more energy efficient.
Sometimes known as Vertical Sliders, these are the windows that you will often find in more traditional houses. They’re called Sash Windows because, in original designs, there is a sash cord which runs down the inside of the frame to help with effortless sliding. It has a weight on the end which counterbalances the weight of the window. Sash Windows are frequently used in older properties where, for example, there may be restrictions on the type of window you are allowed to install. Planning regulations may stipulate that any replacement window must be similar in appearance to the original one. One thing’s for certain; they offer a timeless elegance to any property.
Scandinavian Windows has kept the stylish design but updated how the window operates to ensure smooth sliding.
The best idea is to have a long chat with our designer. There may be something that you hadn’t thought of which is now available thanks to 21st Century window manufacturing techniques.
Remember, every window fitted by Scandinavian Windows is triple glazed. We don’t do single or double glazing. Why would we when we can offer triple glazed for the same price as double?
